Rosemary Noonan is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Naas, originally from Templemore, Co. Tipperary. Specialising in portraiture, Rosemary blends her background in contemporary visual art with a passion for storytelling, creating works that explore themes of identity, women’s mental health, and resilience.
In 2022, Rosemary graduated with First Class Honours from the Drawing and Visual Investigation programme at NCAD, where she developed a deep appreciation for diverse artistic media, including animation. Recently, she further expanded her skills by completing a Level 6 Certificate in Animation at Pulse College, adding dynamic storytelling techniques to her practice.
Her recent work, showcased in exhibitions such as Whispers of Resilience, delves into complex personal and societal themes, particularly focusing on women’s well-being, postnatal depression, pregnancy loss, and infertility. Rosemary’s art invites viewers into intimate, often untold narratives, encouraging reflection and dialogue.
Operating under her brand, A Rosie View, Rosemary creates not only fine art but also nostalgic and personalised pieces, ranging from scenic landscapes to playful illustrations of childhood icons. This blend of serious artistic inquiry and accessible creativity defines her unique approach to visual storytelling.
